Founded in 2016, drawing on Eric von Stackelberg’s decades of experience in Information Technology, Grow Cycle Solutions focused on Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) to make smaller family farms more economically sustainable. By 2023, we were able to show solutions that produced 14X more revenue on 7000 sq ft of CEA versus 160 acres of traditional agriculture, with more resilient and robust electrical generation an achievement we see as critical to maintaining a stable rural social and economic environment.
Our journey led us to combine a variety of existing and new technologies to create Growing Centers and Intentional Communities highlighted the need to recognize sociological factors in adopting solutions to complex problems. Our realignment in 2026 includes the unveiling of our Pathfinder initiative, a humanistic centered training response that celebrates entrepreneurs as artists, as put forward by Steven Blank, as well as recognizing that only a very small percentage of the population will become world class entrepreneurs and this is best accomplished with support of the community. We focus on agility to address complicated and complex problems. Our approach engages bothurban and rural participants with an international scope and attention to performance metrics.
